Tent FAQ
1. What is the difference between Frame and Pole tents?
Frame tents are supported by a freestanding structure and do not require any center poles. Frame tents do require anchoring to secure the tent in harsh weather conditions.
Pole tents or tension tents are supported by upright center and side poles. Anchoring is required at tension points around the tent’s perimeter.

2. Are sidewalls included in the price of the tent?
All of our tents are priced "without" sidewalls.  The cost for sidewalls is "not" included in tent packages. We are happy to provide pricing if needed or requested. If sidewalls are ordered with a tent delivery, the renter is required to pay for them, regardless if they are utilized or not.

3. Are set up charges included in the price of the tent?
The set up and tear down of the tent(s) is included in the price as well as equipment delivery if ordered with a tent.  If a tent is not ordered, there will be a delivery charge for equipment based on delivery location.

4. What size of tent do I need to fit x amount of people and x amount of tables?
Please refer to the seating chart tab on left side of the web page. There will be a chart that provides information for what we recommend.

5. How high is the tent? Height at peak?
The standard height around the perimeter of our tents ( pole) is 7 feet. However we do offer taller side poles for an additional charge. The standard peak height of the tents varies depending on the width of the tent.
Job Site Inspections
The purpose of a site inspection that the tent size ordered will fit the renters’ needs (and space) prior to arrival at the site. It is also to ensure the safety of the tent Installation, the crews and the tent renter. Before a tent can be Installed the following conditions must be determined. Site Inspections will be performed by All American Event Rentals employees prior to the erection date if needed or required.

  • LOCATION – After the proper tent size and style have been determined, choose a desirable location for tent. a. The minimum area required for a pole tent is 8’ in length and width more than the actual tent size. This allows 4’ around all sides for stakes. (Example: A 20’ x 30’ POLE tent requires a minimum of 28’ x 38’ flat level ground)
  • UNDERGROUND – It is the renter’s responsibility to locate all possible underground utilities that could be located in or around specified area
    a. Utilities could include, but not limited to water, gas, electric, telephone, sewage, etc.
    b. If any utilities lay underground of the specified area, THEY MUST BE MARKED.
    c. If you have any doubts or questions about underground utilities, please contact your local utility companies. Keep in mind they typically require atleast 1 week advance notice to do a locate if necessary
  • OVERHEAD – Visually check the specified area for any and all overhead obstructions that could possibly be in the area of the erected tent top.
    a. This includes tree limbs, branches, basketball rims, power lines, etc.
    b. Tent height information can be received from All American Event Rentals.
  • SURFACE – Surface is also an important issue in determining the proper type of anchor. Listed below are the 2 main types of surface conditions and the standard methods of anchoring,
    a. Grass ----------Staked
    b. Asphalt --------Staked (Asphalt plugs available to patch holes, if needed.  There is an additional charge for them)

PLEASE NOTE: All tents are meant as temporary shelter and must be evacuated under extreme weather conditions. Tents are NOT guaranteed, 100% waterproof.
